Eagles urged to sign ex-Vikings pro bowler for $67 million.

Despite starting the season with a pristine record, the Philadelphia Eagles are struggling defensively because of injuries.

Anthony Barr is a four-time Pro Bowl linebacker who spent eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings

according to Bleacher Report, the Eagles should make an effort to sign him.

The Vikings paid out $67.5 million to Anthony Barr over five years in a massive deal in 2019.

But he and the Vikings worked out a contract modification in 2021 that brought his salary down to $8.6 million

With only three linebackers on their roster, the Eagles currently lack depth at off-ball linebacker. As a backup plan, Barr may bring more knowledge to the table in this role.

Barr totaled 58 tackles in 14 games played for the Cowboys last season, even though he is no longer the four-time Pro Bowler he once was.

Barr received a 59.7 out of 100 performance grade from Pro Football Focus for the 2022 season. Even though he may have seen better days in the Pro Bowl, he might be an asset to the Eagles, particularly with injuries like Nakobe Dean's

Last season, Barr was playing for the Cowboys under a $2 million, one-year contract. Perhaps Philadelphia can find a way to sign him for a reasonable price.

When the Eagles signed Rashaan Evans, a former Alabama standout, they believed they had strengthened their starting lineup. Even though they added Evans to the roster, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, they severed relations with him soon after.

The Eagles' evaluation of Anthony Barr's present value to the defense will determine whether the team pursues him or not. In order to continue their winning streak, it could be helpful for them to add veteran depth to their linebacker corps.
