The John Wick film series has not yet been established for ten years, and it has already become a billion-dollar business.
According to Box Office Mojo, the franchise has grossed more over $1 billion worldwide
This is partly due to the success of John Wick: Chapter 4, which became the highest-grossing picture in the franchise last month.
It also became the sixth-highest-grossing picture of 2023, earning more over $425.8 million at the worldwide box office.
The successful release of the most recent edition helped the franchise cross the one billion dollar barrier, earning $1,011,400,000 over its run.
To put these figures in context, the original John Wick picture grossed more than $86 million in 2014; John Wick: Chapter 2 surpassed the record with $171.5 million;
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum went even higher, grossing $327.7 million at the global box office.
John Wick: Chapter 4 was released on March 23 in all global territories except Japan. A release in Japan is still planned for this fall, which would likely boost the film's lifetime gross slightly higher than it is presently.
