BET claims Usher's remarks was censored due to 'audio problem'

Usher's passionate, irreverent, and lengthy BET Awards lifetime achievement acceptance speech was hardly heard.

Usher's 13-minute address was mostly restricted by the network, leaving viewers curious.

BET told The Associated Press that an audio issue during the live transmission muted parts of his address.

We apologize to USHER and thank him for his participation.”

BET's YouTube page has the whole speech, which will be repeated on Monday with some profanity edited.

Fatherhood, forgiveness, and his 30-year career dominated his remarks.

After Usher declared “Sorry, I'm gonna curse and let you know how I really feel” early in his acceptance, extensive editing began.

At 12 or 13, he told a room of executives by entering recording mogul L.A. Reid's office that he would succeed.
