Iowa Standout Caitlin Clark Creates History in Big Ten Women's Basketball

Iowa's Caitlin Clark made history as the Big Ten's all-time leading scorer in women's basketball during the game against Northwestern.

Clark achieved this milestone with a layup in the second quarter, reaching 3,403 career points.

She is currently the second all-time leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball, surpassing Ohio State's Kelsey Mitchell.

Clark is just over 100 points away from becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer, currently held by Kelsey Plum.

The Hawkeyes, ranked third, dominated the game against Northwestern, leading by a significant margin in the second half.

Iowa has been one of the top teams, winning 16 of their last 17 games.

Clark has consistently scored at least 30 points in her last four games, likely extending the streak to five with her performance in the current game.

Clark is contemplating whether to remain in college for another season or enter the WNBA Draft; signs indicate a potential move to the professional league, where she could be the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever, potentially playing alongside Kelsey Mitchell.
