Ja Morant to being inducted into Murray State Hall of Fame at Hoopalooza

Racer Great and NBA icon Ja Morant will be inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame class of 2024 at Racer Hoopalooza on July 27 at the CFSB Centre in Murray, Kentucky.

Morant's 65 games with the Racers from 2017-19 will be remembered for his remarkable run.

With 56 wins, the Racers won two Ohio Valley Conference titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Morant improved in 2018-19 after an All-OVC freshman season.

Morant was Murray State's first consensus All-American and OVC Player of the Year.

Morant was the only player to average 20 points and 10 assists since assists became official in 1983-84.

In 46 fewer games than Don Mann in 1989, Morant set the Racers' career assist record (532). Morant ranks 12th in MSU history with 18.7 points per game.

He ranks 31st all-time at MSU with 1,213 points, fourth among two-year players after Stark (2016-18) 1,408, De'Teri Mayes (1996-98) 1,340, and Cameron Payne (2013-15) 1,279 points.
