The Philadelphia wedding band has dropped its lawsuit against Jelly Roll.  

Philadelphia wedding party group Jelly Roll has formally dropped their trademark lawsuit against country singer Jelly Roll.  

According to a court filing obtained by People on July 9, Jellyroll frontman Kurt Tichenell said his band is dropping its legal action.  

Initially, a lawsuit was filed to stop using Jelly’s stage name because it was similar to the band name that had been used for decades.  

"The dispute with Jason Bradley DeFord, aka Jelly Roll, has been resolved and the legal action has been withdrawn," Tichenell said in his closing statement.  

"We look forward to continuing to use the Jelly Roll Band name for our party band business."
