Bye Week Evaluations for the Raiders: Nate Hobbs

Nate Hobbs, a cornerback, has performed well for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023.

This season, the Las Vegas Raiders have depended largely on their defense to be competitive.

All three tiers of defense performed admirably, both individually and collectively.

If the Raiders want to compete for the playoffs in the final five games of the regular season, this must continue.

Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator, has done a fantastic job of convincing players to buy into his system and making the most of this present group.

During the bye week, the Raiders' defense was particularly impressive.

Hobbs has been an effective player for the Raiders while continuing to battle injuries in 2023.

If he can stay healthy, the third-year Illinois player could be a long-term solution at nickel cornerback.

Hobbs has 59 total tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack, six passes defended, and one interception after eight games.

Hobbs has been targeted 57 times, giving up 45 completions for 411 yards and two touchdowns, according to Pro Football Focus.
