Caitlin Clark has a WNBA suspension problem lurking

Caitlin Clark has officially entered perilous territory, perhaps being punished by the WNBA for accumulating technical fouls this season.

Clark's third technical foul in the first nine games of her WNBA career came on Thursday night,

when she got in the face of Seattle Storm guard Victoria Vivians and the two were both given double technical fouls in Indiana.

According to WNBA regulations, when a player receives their seventh technical foul of the season,

they are punished for one game, and for every subsequent technical penalty.

This means Clark can only receive three technical fouls in the last 31 games of the regular season to stay under this limit.

Thursday, following the double technical, Fever head coach Christie Sides was flagged for a technical foul when Clark was mauled near the basket, but the Storm received no foul calls.

"I feel like I'm getting hammered, I don't know," Clark told reporters Thursday after being asked about her and Vivians' yelling at each other.
