Caitlin Clark Ignores Brittney Griner Face Hit in Fever vs. Mercury

Kahleah Copper and the Phoenix Mercury rallied late, but Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever prevailed 95-86 on Friday.

Late in the third quarter, the Fever led by 31 points, but the Mercury got within four.

Phoenix accomplished this without Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi. Griner started the game but left with a hip injury after colliding with Copper.

Online footage shows Griner accidently striking Clark in the face during play. No foul was called, and play continued.

Clark took Griner's hit and kept playing, but she bounced back.

The former Iowa Hawkeyes star scored 20 points and 13 assists for her sixth straight double.

The Fever are 10-14 and sixth in the WNBA Playoffs.

Mercury succumbed to 12-11, sixth seed.
