Olivia Dunne will return to LSU for a fifth and final season after becoming one of the highest-paid senior collegiate athletes in the world last season. NIL values the social media sensation at nearly $3.9 million.
Dunne announced her fifth-year return to LSU on Monday afternoon, sharing a video with the program behind a marketing campaign that boldly stated, "She's not Dunne yet.
Her most significant career events were shown in the video alongside an open letter to her followers.
"Dear LSU, these four years transformed my life.
Wearing a Purple and Gold leotard is special. Something about competing in front of 13,000 shouting Tiger fans. "Coaches push you to be your best," she read.
"Being on a school-history team is special. No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, LSU is special.
So I'm not Dunne yet." Dunne helped LSU win its first NCAA national title in April. In nine meets, the star gymnast set season highs of 9.875 on uneven bars and 9.900 on floor exercise.
Her awards include the program's first annual "Coaches Award," for being a ready-to-compete gymnast. Dunne was chosen to the 2024 SEC Academic Honor Roll for her academic and athletic dedication.
Dunne was the third-highest-earning collegiate athlete last season, after Bronny James and Shedeur Sanders, with over 5.2 million followers and a $3.5 million On3 NIL valuation. Instagram accounts for 39% of her earnings.
