RB, Cowboys Reuniting on one-year, $3 million pact with Ezekiel Elliott
Dallas welcomes running back Ezekiel Elliott after a year.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Elliott and the Cowboys are reconnecting, but Zeke is taking a pay cut.
Elliott is returning on a one-year, $3 million deal with $2 million guaranteed, according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He has made almost $70 million with the Cowboys.
Elliott, 28, played seven seasons for the Cowboys after being picked fourth overall in 2016.
After three successful seasons with Dallas, owner Jerry Jones seemed to have handpicked Elliott's successor in 2019 by drafting running back Tony Pollard.
Elliott left following the 2022 season and signed a one-year deal with the Patriots.Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott allegedly signing $3 million, one-year deal.
Pollard signed a three-year agreement with the Titans in the offseason after failing to help the Cowboys win the Super Bowl. Elliott was a decent Patriots player but hadn't signed for 2024.
The late March revelation that Elliott and the Cowboys wanted a reunion wasn't a surprise. The day before the 2024 NFL Draft, the two met again to explore their desire.
