Sam Heughan, star of the hit Starz series Outlander, opened out about how emotional it is to be filming the eighth and final season.
Heughan revealed his thoughts about the last season while attending The Land Con 6 in Paris on April 13 and 14, where he was joined by former and current costars.
"We're filming the final season. In the opening scene of the RosterCon clip, Heughan stated, "Season 8." "Now that we've shot for three weeks,"
Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, Steven Cree, John Bell, César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Izzy Meikle-Small, Joey Phillips, Duncan Lacroix, and even Tobias Menzies were among the other celebrities present at the occasion.
Heughan proceeded to express his emotions during a panel discussion when he said, "It's really hard for me."
They made it a very special occasion, but we had a read-through where the entire cast gathers around a table to read the episode aloud so that everyone can hear it.
"They had a bagpiper, and we were in this amazing castle in the studio because we were on a castle set. The theme song, "The Skye Boat Song," was being played, and I just I started crying, and I was gone," Heughan disclosed.
Given that "there are so many memories," he noted, it makes sense that this is an emotional moment.
