Wednesday was Decision Day for Memphis Grizzlies standout guard Ja Morant, with $40 million on the line.
Ja Morant, a troubled basketball player, is suspended for 25 games after flashing what appeared to be a legal firearm in an Instagram video.
This season, Morant is expected to earn about $33.5 million.
During this punishment, he may now lose little more than $300,000 every game,
or roughly $7.5 million. Before being reinstated,
he will also need to follow a few requirements, the NBA stated.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated, "Ja Morant's decision to wield a firearm on social media once again is alarming and disconcerting given his
similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games."
