On Sunday, September 17, Yellowstone will premiere on CBS, with the first episode of season 1.

Due to the continuing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, most shows that were scheduled to premiere this fall have suspended production.

Since it is shot in Montana, work on it will probably get back up in the spring. Regarding Kevin Costner's comeback to the series, there is currently no information.
